1. Be Yourself :

I probably have said this more times than I should, but it’s absolutely true. You have to be authentic and create things that YOU love and enjoy. Even if there are similar products, blogs, videos, etc. — be confident in what you create, because no one can create the same way you can. Always be true to yourself and your audience. Be sure you stand out.

2. Stay Consistent :

Consistency is the key to blogging. If you create amazing content your audience is going to want to hear from you more than twice a year. A good way to stay consistent is to plan out your content so you can be ahead of the game.

3. Stay Patient :

As much as we would love to see results overnight, most of the time it just doesn’t happen that way. Unless you go viral, then we can definitely say results can happen overnight. However, you have to stay patient in your journey. Results happen with time. Continue to put out content, work smart, and your patience will pay off.

4. Trial and Error :

You’re going to come across so many articles about blogging, how to grow your blog, etc. Just remember that something that may work for someone else, may not work for you. I had to learn that myself.

So, if you have tried x,y, and z and you still haven’t seen any results go a different route. We all have different journeys and everything may not work the same for all of us. And, that is absolutely okay. It’s all about learning as you go and apply it into our life and/or business.

  1. Love it! I’ve been in such a rut, but I’ve also been a lot more relaxed and at peace with my blog, so I might be failing at the consistency point right now, but I’m honing the patience and trial-and-error parts!

  2. Consistency is my downfall 😭😭 however I have been working on my content calendar and being more intentional with blogging, hoping to keep it up. I wish I had done more planning before jumping right on in!! Also learning more about affiliate links, SEO, and plugins for WordPress to help spruce my blog up more.

Great article and I look forward to your ebook as I want to learn about working with brands!!

  3. Thanks so much for sharing, these are really great tips! Consistency is where I slack the most, but planning batch weeks and calendar blocking are definitely helping with that.
