Oh, Hey! *waving emoji*
I am so glad that you stumbled into my little corner of the internet.
Before I get to rambling (because I love to ramble), I should probably introduce myself, right?
First things first, my name is Alexis – you can call me Lex. I am a 20-something-year-old who loves all things self-help, self-love, self-care. All things… SELF!?
On my free time I enjoy reading books/poetry, writing, meditating, learning different ways to improve my wellbeing, and sitting outside in nature, just to name a few. There is something truly magnificent about nature that I have fallen in love with – I could sit outside for hours on hours.
Now, let’s talk about the blog – Simply Nichole
I started Simply Nichole in 2017 – it started off as a review blog, however, I knew I wanted a more meaningful blog. That’s when I decided to switch it up and start doing more self-help and lifestyle type of content.
I am a self-help enthusiast and I aspire to help others by providing advice/tips that have helped me throughout my life.
Where it all began //
I ALWAYS had a love for writing, ever since I could remember. I would write about any and everything – it was therapeutic for me.
When I was in Elementary school I would write poetry – you would have thought that someone yanked my heart right out of my chest.
In 2014 my mother passed away and I knew I wanted to do more and be more. I told myself that life is too short to waste it.
So, I went out on a search to find something that truly resonated with me.
I knew NOTHING about the blogging world until I began searching through Pinterest. And boom, there it was. I was so interested – I already had a love for writing. Why not, start my own blog.
So, I began my first blog in 2015 – where I would write about everything that came to my mind. Kind of like a diary of my thoughts.
However, I knew there was more to the blogging world and I wanted to impact lives. So, I decided to start a new and more niche based blog.
I began my second blog, where I would talk about life tips and more. However, my depression struck me hard – I began to lack motivation and even dreaded getting out of bed. I came to the decision to stop blogging and focus more on my health.
Now, here I am back and better!
I hope you enjoy reading my blog. Oh, and don’t mind my overly dramatic personality. If you stay long enough, you’ll get used to it.
